Rich Egg Custard


Rich Egg Custard

Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2-1/2 cups milk
4 egg yolks, beaten
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Directions:
Mix sugar, salt and cornstarch in a sauce pan.

Stir in milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils.
Boil for 1 minute.
Remove from heat.
Gradually stir a little over half of this mixture into beaten egg yolks and blend into
mixture in sauce pan.
Bring just to boil, stirring constantly.
Cool and add vanilla.
This sauce custard can be poured over cake, fruit or whatever your heart desires ;)
